Welcome!

Effective Friday, March 13, 2020, Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association is suspending all affiliated and sanctioned soccer activities statewide through April 15th due to the evolving COVID-19 situation.   For our member organizations (towns, clubs and leagues) this includes, but is not limited to: all games, practices, clinics, training, tournaments, in-person meetings and Coaching Education Courses.

Trusting that players, coaches, referees and spectators would never knowingly compromise themselves or others, the fact is that our sport and its related activities provide an opportunity for the virus to spread which we feel is our duty to help avoid."

As for what this means to the TYSA season going forward, I am still working with the NVYSL to see what we will be able to salvage of the Spring 2020 season.  As weekends are at a premium from the start of the season through June we may need to take more drastic steps to fit in games such as playing on Memorial Day or playing both weekends of April vacation.  Also being considered is playing a shortnened season.  As we have a month until play resumes I will continue to work with the NVYSL and I will let everyone know ASAP what the schedule will look like.  This goes for the team practice schedules as well.  Your TYSA Board will be working to develop a schedule for once play resumes and will communicate this when it is completed.

Indoor Schedule - With the cancellation of all soccer activities I also wanted to clearly state that the next two weeks of indoor practices, as sanctioned through TYSA, are also cancelled.  For those on individual teams playing in leagues through the Tyngsboro Sports Center (TSC) these games are up to the discretion of the TSC and your coach.  These are not affiliated with TYSA  Also, our Partner, Abbey Villa S.C., has closed due to the pandemic but for right now is only closed until this Friday March 20th.

In closing, we have been mandated by MYSA to cease all TYSA affiliated soccer activities until April 15th and we will adhere to their decision.  Should anyone have any other questions or concerns, myself and the other members of the TYSA Board are here to help and, as always, provide a safe and healthy atmosphere for your children to play.
