Welcome!

Tyngsboro Youth Soccer is looking to play this fall and would like your input on the following survery to see what we will offer. Once we compile the results of the survey, we will look to open registration. Even if you registered and rolled over your fees from the spring we will ask you to re-register for the fall so we can ensure an accurate count per team.

Please complete the survey below by Friday, August 14. Thank you!

Below is a tremendous opportunity afforded to us by our partner Fellsway Wanderers.

Fortunately, we had partnered with coaches from Abbey Villa Soccer Club in the spring of 2020.  These excellent coaches have since left Abbey Villa and have started their own company called Fellsway Wanderers.  They are offering some free clinics to interested Tyngsboro players.  More details can be found on their website but the quick information is as follows:

We have created a coupon code for your players for our clinics.  It's $75 off the Summer Skills (making it free) or the High School Prep (big discount).  Feel free to pass it out to TYSA members past and present as you see fit.  The clinics are held to MYSA standards for the phases.

Clinic site:  https://www.fellswaywanderers.club/camps-and-clinics/

Coupon Code:  TYSA75

We are currently in Phase 3, Step 1 of Youth Sports Return to Activities.  TYSA will be following the guidelines set forth by the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) and mandated by the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL).  These lengthy but informative guidelines can be found on the MYSA website at

https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/return-to-soccer-activities/

I urge all parents/coaches to review this information as it shows the necessary steps TYSA/parents/coaches need to take in order to provide a healthy and safe soccer environment for our children.

As TYSA prepares to provide this safe environment for your children we are aware that there are other organizations outside of TYSA returning to play.  All Massachusetts based soccer organizations should be adhering to these guidelines and I urge families once again to review all of the guidelines so they are aware.  As a special note, unless the activity is sponsored by TYSA or a member of its board of directors, TYSA and the MYSA issued insurance holds no responsibility or liability for ANY soccer activities including but not limited to adhoc practices, clinics, tournaments, scrimmages or pick-up games.

Once TYSA has navigated and prepared for the required guidelines and are ready to offer the best and safest environment for your children we will be in contact with TYSA’s return to play plan.  Should anyone have any questions please email Greg Kosiorek, President, at thekosioreks@verizon.net.

**********************************************************************

Unfortunately Tyngsboro Youth Soccer is cancelling the Spring 2020 season. The main reason is for the safety of our players, coaches, referees and spectators. However, there are other reasons like the fields being closed, half of the other towns in our league having cancelled their seasons, 7 out of 11 leagues in Massachusetts have cancelled their seasons, etc. Your TYSA board has struggled with this decision as we would love to provide the opportunities in the sport that we all love, but in the end the well-being of our kids is paramount.

Refund or Credit?

The strategy for refunding or crediting will be fairly simple.

  • All High School players will be given a credit in full back to their credit card for their Spring 2020 registration and uniform fees.
  • All 8th graders will be given a credit in full for their Spring 2020 registration fees as the players will be at the high school level in the fall and not with TYSA.
  • Grades K-7 will be given a credit on their account to be used towards their Fall 2020 registration and uniform fees. E-mail thekosioreks@verizon.net if your son/daughter won't be playing in the fall, or if you would prefer a refund.

Next Steps

  • Play over the summer - We have been told by the league that if fields open and Gov. Baker's assemblage order be lifted, we can have a clinic or friendly games against another town. Your TYSA board will stay current on all factors and should we be able to play we will communicate those opportunities.
  • Placement for Fall Teams - In this unprecedented time we are unable to hold any type of tryouts like we normally would in the May/June timeframe. If we can do them late in the summer we will. If we cannot, we will use the fall season to evaluate and move players among teams accordingly throughout the season. As we progress in this situation we will provide more information.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this very trying time. Please check regularly on the Tyngsboro Parents Facebook Page, Tyngsboro Soccer Facebook Page, and the TYSA Website for further updates. Also, check our Tyngsboro Soccer Facebook Page for our Skill of the Week presented by our partner Abbey Villa Soccer Club.

Please stay safe and healthy!
